This collection documents the academic and professional life of Dr. Vivian Price, a political scientist, videographer, and union electrician, who has played an active role in the labor and non-traditional women's occupation movement in Los Angeles, California. Materials include: legal and business papers, labor union records, professional organization and conference materials, correspondence, newsletters, press releases, newspaper clippings, ephemera, lectures, miscellaneous academic papers, photographs, and videotapes. Other materials concern to Women In Non-Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER), other tradeswomen organizations, women constructing the Century Freeway in Los Angeles, tradeswomen education and training apprenticeship programs, and policies such as Affirmative Action for women.

Crawford et al. v. Board of Education of the City of Los Angeles et al. was a case in which the California Supreme Court ordered the Los Angeles Unified School District to formulate a feasible plan to desegregate its schools.
